Baguio is a university city in the region known as the Cordilleras and was originally settled by Igorot tribesmen. One of the delicacies in the region that the Igorots like is dog, but we didn't get the chance to try it out. At any rate, all of this fluff text is just build-up to the cookies for today, so let's just get right to it. Seen below are some pictures taken in Baguio. And here is a video from there - Jacob has a career in basketball ahead of him. Not. :)

Didn't you go up to Camp John Hay? Pretty place that is, their restaurant on the veranda offers good cuisine too. Forgot to tell you, that's where you get one of the world's best French onion soup- really musty and tasty, you can do away with the main course after it and go straight for dessert. Do it next time you get a chance.
Pink pony?? ha,ha..... not bad, but locals call them horses.... whatever, only in the Philippines. Am still proud of it.
'Pink pony' was a reference to something else. Oh, never mind. I'm not going to explain to my mother!
Yeah we went to Camp John Hay. We didn't go to the veranda restaurant though, if you mean the one attached to the country club. You can't enter if you're not a member, because you can't pay by visa or cash or anything - they put it on your country club membership account.
And nah, too little time and too much to do here in the Philippines to keep on visiting a spot over and over again. We're going to try and see some other places. As always, will keep you all informed.

No, the veranda restaurant is the restaurant at Camp John Hay Hotel itself where I stayed NOT the country club and YES, they accept VISA, Mastercard, Diners what have you. Tsk, tsk, you missed the chance of tasting their cuisine. Better luck next time. If you want to go on a short trip around, try Tagaytay or go for the rapids at Pagsanjan or Hidden Valley. A long weekend to Laoag at Fort Ilocandia will also be good for you and Jacob. Take the Cebu Pacific flight, book on line then you get a good airfare for something like PhP 568 only, one way. 2 nights at the Fort is approx. USD100, 1 night will cost you the same (crazy but true). See Pagudpud for a day and discover the north. Or why not try Bicol and see Mayon Volcano and environs. So many things to see Dave but yeah, it's a question of time, as always. Anyway, you still have a bit of time left to do some exploration. Use it wisely.
